The 4 Chowkidars of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal has experienced tremendous growth in these five years under Prime Minister Modi. Many schemes were launched to boost the state’s income & making it world’s best tourist destination. Combined with Jairam Govt from past one a half year, this growth has increased further. To ensure this growth remains at this same pace, BJP on 23rd March, Saturday announced the list of all the four candidates from Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The names for the four Lok Sabha constituencies of Himachal Pradesh were announced by senior BJP leader JP Nadda ji along with candidates from Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gujarat, and Karnataka. I believe all the selected candidates have bright potential to win in their respective constituencies and bring reforms for the welfare of the people. These 4 Chowkidars are all set to serve the people with new enthusiasm and strategies for overall development. I have stated the achievements of all the four candidates and have also asserted why these candidates are BJP’s right choice for Himachal Pradesh:

Shri Anurag Thakur, Hamirpur

Three-time MP and former BCCI chief Anurag Thakur, is a gem of Hamirpur. He is a member of 16th Lok Sabha from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh in India. He was first elected to Lok Sabha in May 2008 in a by poll as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party. He is three time MP, being a member of 14th, 15th and 16th Lok sabha. He was the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from May 2016 to February 2017.  Also in 2016, he became the first serving BJP parliamentarian to be commissioned into the prestigious Territorial Army. Now if we talk about why Anurag ji is selected, then the answer to this is pretty simple. He is a promising political leader and plays a leading role in the politics of state in subsequent times. So we can safely assume that as he had already served the people from a very long time, he knows what more reforms need to be focused on.

Shri Ram Swaroop Sharma, Mandi

Ram Swaroop Sharma ji is a powerful BJP candidate from Mandi as he contested Indian general election as BJP candidate in Mandi in 2014 and won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in 2014 from BJP ticket beating Smt. Pratibha Singh of the INC by a margin of 39,796 votes. He remained an organizing secretary of Mandi district BJP and later of the state BJP and also served as a Vice Chairman of the State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation.

He left his job as a Welfare Supervisor in the National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) in 1984 to join RSS and has also been an active trade unionist. He has also served as a Vice Chairman of the H P State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation.

In these 5 years Ram Swaroop ji have worked a lot for the people of Himachal and it will be an advantage for BJP because people are already happy with the development done in the constituency and would definitely vote for him.

Shri Kishan Kapoor, Kangra-Chamba

Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Kishan Kapoor ji would be contesting elections from Kangra. He is one of the senior most BJP leaders from Himachal Pradesh and with his years of experience he would surely bring a positive change. Talking about his achievements and why he is the choice for upcoming Lok Sabha election, basically it is the experience he holds, and the services he has rendered to the state. Remained Member, Bhartiya Jan Sangh and Janata Party before being associated with BJP. Elected to the State Legislative Assembly in 1990; re-elected in 1993, 1998 and 2007.

He remained Transport and Tribal Development Minister from March, 1998 to 1st March, 2001 and 3rd April, 2001 to December, 2003; and Transport and Industries Minister from 9th January, 2008 to December, 2012. He was re-elected to the thirteenth Vidhan Sabha (5th term); and inducted into Council of Ministers as Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Minister on 27th December, 2017.

Shri Suresh Kashyap, Shimla

I believe that Suresh Kashyap ji is like a true solider who would not only ensure victory for the party, but also the all-around development of the area. Suresh Kashyap ji is an MLA in the state Assembly from Pachhad (SC) seat, which falls under Shimla (SC) Lok Sabha seat. BJP’s Suresh Kashyap, from the Legislative Assembly constituency has also defeated the 7-time legislator GR Musafir. Also in 2006, he became the district president of SC Morcha and held this post till 2009. In 2009, the Kashyap ji became the Secretary General of the SC Front and worked till 2012 till this post.

Summing it up, I believe all these candidates from BJP will certainly win 4/4 tickets and will continue to work for the welfare of the people & nation. These Chowkidars have always put the nation first and have considered it as their responsibility to bring development & welfare in the state. Himachal needs dedicated candidates like these in order to reach new heights of development.
