Panna Pramukh will strengthen the grassroots of the BJP government with their constant efforts. Before we proceed, let’s discuss about Panna Pramukh? Panna Pramukh is a person devoted to interacting with the voters and conveying their problems to the upper party leaders. The party selects a pramukh (or prabhari) who is given a list (page or panna, in Hindi) of names of 8-12 families. Each pramukh has to an emphasis on these families to create a larger voter base. The model was first used in Gujarat when the saffron party rode to power for three successive terms.

Panna Pramukh monitors & explains various initiatives that have been taken by the BJP government for their overall prosperity. They give feedback on people’s insight about the party performance in state and at the Centre.

Panna Pramukh Role

1) The job is to stay in touch with the voters on their list & motivate them to vote for BJP. 

2) He is also expected to monitor and report on the political preferences of those 30 people.

3) Impart knowledge to households about the various schemes initiated by the government for their welfare.

4) Arrange vehicles so that the voters can reach the booth before time

5) Acts as a middleman between voters and party leaders, all the problems or requirements are forwarded to party leaders so that they can be taken into consideration.

Himachal Pradesh has not only taken lead in organizing Trived Sammelan but also turn out to be the first state to host Panna Pramukh Sammelan with the united determinations of party leaders and Panna Pramukh members.

Mandi: On 28th November 2018, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had visited the home district “Mandi” of Chief Minister Jairam Thakur for first Panna Pramukh Sammelan. Union Minister launched ERSS for the state with which Himachal Pradesh became the first state in the country to implement the emergency response support system (ERSS), under which all emergency numbers, including 100 for police, 101 for fire 102 for ambulance and disaster response, have been integrated into one number – 112 – Countrywide. With this efficient & effective system, safety for women would be increased and immediate assistance would be provided. Also, Rs. 4.71 crore and 13 vehicles have been provided by the Union government for implementation of this scheme well. 

Solan, Shimla: On 23rd December 2018, Union Health Minister JP Nadda addressed the Panna major conference and said that Himachal government has by far got nine thousand crore projects and there are more than five thousand crore projects lined-up for the state. JP Nadda appreciated the efforts of the workers and members because of whom the BJP government has emerged as the largest party in the world with 12 crore members. The health Minister assured that all the health centers will turn into wellness centers by 2020, and every adult who turns 30 will be examined by blood pressure, sugar, cancer, leprosy, dental and mantle health and will be given all possible treatment.

Una: BJP national chief Amit Shah on 28th January 2019, addressed the Una Panna Pramukh Sammelan where he discussed the efforts that were taken by the Modi government for the welfare of Jawans under One Rank, One Pension. 

Kangra: On 24th February 2019, the last Panna Pramukh Sammelan was held in Kangra district, Central Ground and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari attended the Sammelan and motivated the members for their constant support. Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for seven National Highway projects worth over Rs. 4,400 crores in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, these projects will benefit the local people because it would increase tourism in the state, reduce the traveling time and will also make the journey safe with all-weather roads.

Panna Pramukh is the backbone of BJP because these people spread awareness about the initiatives that are taken by the government for the welfare of the people. All these aides put nations welfare prior and then about themselves.  With constant interaction, the party is well updated about the needs and requirements of the people.
