Sankalpit Bharat, Sashakt Bharat

According to me the nation has progressed towards growth & development, under the BJP’s leadership. 5 years are not a long tenure for a developing nation, in order to bring complete reform we need a dedicated & promising party like BJP. On 8th April 2019, the BJP government presented their manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The manifesto, presented by Home Minister Rajnath Singh at the party headquarters in Delhi, along with the top party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

The manifesto is brilliantly designed to achieve growth & development at a higher pace and it is written for the people and aims to consider every section of the society”.  Growth and national defense are part of the BJP’s plan in the “Sankalp Patra”. Additionally, implementing the Uniform Civil Code, enabling the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the petition for simultaneous elections and “zero tolerance” towards terrorism are also featured in the manifesto.

Party leader Amit Shah at the launch said: “India’s development from 2014 to 2019 will be written in golden words in history”.

Now, talking about the manifesto in detail, I have listed down the main sectors which will witness great transformation after a successful win of BJP in upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

India First & Zero Tolerance

The manifesto has prioritized on terrorism. Party is building an attitude of zero tolerance to terrorism and gives a free-hand to the security forces to fight terrorism. This also includes building the modern defence equipment in India, modernizing police forces and solidification armed forces by reforming them. It claims of implementing the long-standing One Rank, One Pension (OROP) for veterans of the armed forces.

Healthcare

According to the manifesto, 1.5 lakh health and welfare centers will be opened, along with 75 medical colleges and PG medical colleges. Target will be on telemedicine and diagnostic laboratory amenities at Health and Wellness Centers by 2022.

Economy

BJP plans to further brush up the tax slabs and the tax reimbursements to ensure more cash and better purchasing power in the hands of our middle income families. The party aims to improve ‘Ease of Doing business’ position of the country. BJP says it desires to make India the third largest economy of the world by 2030, US $5 trillion economy by 2025 and US $10 trillion economy by 2032.

Jammu & Kashmir Article 370 and Article 35A

The BJP in their upcoming term plans to abolish Article 370, which discusses special status to Jammu & Kashmir, and will also abolish Article 35A, which stops non-residents to buy land in the northern state, to ensure its development.

Ram Mandir

Another important part which BJP will be focusing on is, the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In the manifesto, the party said that they will explore all possibilities within the agenda of the Constitution and take all necessary efforts to facilitate the speedy construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Good Governance

The manifesto focuses on judicial reforms, good governance, transparency, a corruption-free nation, ease of living, protecting the Himalayas, union territories and developing the north-eastern states.

Jobs

We all had been waiting for this one, the manifesto will focus on the 22 key sectors to create new opportunities and build on the entrepreneurial spirit in the country.

Science and Technology

The manifesto ensures setting up a new Science Mission to focus on artificial intelligence and robotics, increasing research and development through a National Research Foundation and translating Science & Technology and Humanities textbooks from English to any Indian language.

Women Safety & Empowerment

The party promises to ensure better credit availability for women, market and distribution network for women entrepreneurs and women farmers. To encourage companies to hire more women, the government will source 10 percent of material for government earning from companies with 50 percent women employees, including but not limited to products from leather, apparel, paper, wood, idols, plastic items, clocks, toys, etc. And for Women’s Safety government will abolish Triple Talaq and Nikah Halala. It also plans to set up Women’s Security Division under the home ministry, to ensure time-bound investigation and trial of rape, forensic facilities and fast-track courts for cases dealing with crime against women.

Conclusion

As per my knowledge, the manifesto seems to have covered all the key areas and the party leaders being committed to their work, it will surely once again achieve all the promises they make, unlike Congress. The party has clearly stated the way in which the government will achieve and fulfill its commitments. I am very confident that people will make the right choice and vote for the NDA government.
